In the production area of Imabari towels, there is an abundance of high-quality water suitable for bleaching and dyeing, with very few heavy metals and low hardness components.

Bleaching with this soft water makes the fibers gentle to the touch and produces a delicate and soft texture,

To be certified as Imabari towels, they must pass strict tests.

The most important characteristic of Imabari towels is their water absorbency.

To ensure that towels absorb water from the beginning of use even without washing, the towels are tested for water absorbency twice, once by floating a piece of towel in water and seeing if it sinks within 5 seconds (not washed) and once by washing it 3 times.

If it sinks quickly, it means that it absorbs water quickly.

The product has also passed a number of other certification standards, including fluffing, color fading, and durability tests.

To ensure safe and secure quality, only towels that have passed our own certification standards can use our brand mark.
