Description

Tamaryokucha  translated means ball or curly tea.  During processing, the green tea is steamed and then rolled which develops their characteristic shape.

Some of the flavors that set it apart from other types of Japanese teas include subtle hints of berry fruit and nut with a little bit of citrus and grass mixed in.

This tamaryokucha is from Oita, Japan.

The tea should be steeped at 70 °C (160 °F) for about two minutes or 80 °C (175 °F) for about one minute.
